AT5 - Returning the old Ajax logo

When AT5 asked us as design and marketing professionals what we thought about the return of Ajax’s old logo, we couldn’t help but smile. Because a move like that says much more than just something about design. It’s about identity, nostalgia, and the longing for authenticity. At a time when brands are constantly chasing innovation, there’s real power in going back to something that feels genuine. The old Ajax logo is rougher, more human less polished than the modern emblem, but that’s exactly what makes it so iconic. For us as designers, it’s a great reminder: good design isn’t always about what’s new it’s about what has meaning.
